Virtual Northwest Airlines is proud to announce that it will begin daily nonstop service between NewYork and Quebec on May 30th.  vNWA will operate two flights between John F. vNWA also is announcing that we have resumed the nonstop flights between Detroit, Michigan (KDTW) and Quebec (CYQB) on May the 30th as well.  The flights are scheduled in wACARS as VNL2004 & VNL2007 and will operate mid morning and late in the evening with return routes.

All Quebec flights to and from New York and Detroit will operate on a Detroit based 50-seat Embraer 145 regional jets.  The planes have 50 coach seats in a 1-2 configuration.  Hope to see all flying these new routes soon.

Our Deepest Sympathy

On June 19, 2016 we lost not only a "Great" staff member here at Virtual Northwest Airlines but we lost a great friend and part of our family as well.  Detroit Hub Manager NWA2000 Ricardo Newton was a dedicated member of Virtual Northwest with an "Awesome" personality that was willing to help any one that joined our VA that was having any issues especially his hub family at DTW.  He was a great asset to our Management Staff and will be surely missed.  His love of flying was obvious based on the amount of time you would see him logged on to the wACARS system as well as the VatSim network, especially his love of flying the weekly NASCAR Charters.  This is evident by his NASCAR Charter Stats from 2013 to 2016 of 887 flights, 2047 hours, and a total net revenue of over 60.4 million in his NASCAR Charter Career.  Now hows that for dedication.

Ricardo joined vNWA back in August of 2013 and flew weekly till his last flight on the day he passed away June 19 2016.  His love of flying and dedication to this VA can be verified by his 1833 flights with 4751 hours logged in his 2 years and 10 months of being with vNWA. Those are impeccable stats showing his love and dedication of flying here at vNWA.  Again he will surely be missed with his bubbly personality and dedication to his Hub Pilots.  He was born in the USA in the State of Kentucky but had been residing over in Germany working as a contractor for the US Government  at Ramstein AFB  (ETAR).

"The vNWA Ricardo Newton Memorial Event"

We had a Great turn out for the Ricardo Newton Memorial Flight Event over the weekend into Ricardo's home airport at ETAR (Ramstein AFB) .  On behalf of the Executive Staff here at Virtual Northwest Airlines I would like to personally thank the 7 pilots that participated.

NWA1964 - Mark Toler
NWA1959 - Hans Moeller
NWA1899 - Pam Bennett
NWA1999 - Robbie Suwary
NWA4009 - Juergen Sanja
NWA2008 - Tom Burrill
NWA2011 - David Henderson

Again thank you for taking your time out of your busy real world obligations to honor our fallen staff member who will be deeply missed.

To continue Ricardo's memory, we would like to continue to honor and remember him here at Virtual Northwest by adding 2 routes in his honor in and out of KDTW & ETAR (Ramstein AFB) utilizing his DTW Hub Manager Pilots ID's that he had as the flight Numbers to be in our wACARS system for the existence of vNWA.

NWA2000 & NWA2001  KDTW-ETAR-KDTW.

We will also honor his memory by having a flight out of ETAR into KCLT and back to ETAR every week for the remainder of the 2016 NASCAR Charters. He loved flying the NASCAR Charters.

There will also be a flight out of ETAR to SBGL and back to ETAR for the 2016 Olympic charters that will run through the end of August for that event as well.

Again thanks to all that participated and will continue to participate in honor of NWA2000, DTW Hub Manager, Ricardo Newton.

In Honor of Ricardo Newton  NWA2000 DTW Hub Manager

(August 7, 1965 - June 19, 2016)
