Description:
The ERJ-170/175 is a short- to medium-range narrow-bodied aircraft and is the smaller of the two E-Jet families. The E-170 and E-175 directly compete with the Bombardier CRJ-700 and Bombardier CRJ-900. The aircraft were introduced into service with Northwest Airlink on August 27, 2007 and were operated by Compass Airlines. The E-170 and E-175 are powered with General Electric CF34-8E engines producing 14,200 lbs of thrust per engine. Northwest Airlink operated 6 E-170's, 36 E-175's. These aircraft operated until the merger in 2009 with Delta Airlines who continues to fly a few of them under Delta Connection.
